Mask by Hooty Tuts

Template # 87 by Addictive Templates

Any color or gradient and font of your choosing

Okay, let's begin. The first thing you will need to do, is to open the template #87 from Addictive Templates. Next, let's create our mask. I have chosen a mask from Hooty Tuts. Okay, in Paint Shop Pro (PSP) click FILE>OPEN>and open the mask you have chosen, then start a new image FILE>NEW>600x600 and transparent needs to be checked.  Choose color or gradient on the right side layers menu; I chose a metallic silver gradient...flood fill the new blank image with the color or gradient..the flood fill is the paint bucket shape. Now go to the top layers menu and click NEW MASK LAYER> from image...a pop up opens..click on the title of the mask you chose in the drop down menu. Now go back to the side layers menu and click on the square that has the layers combined...right click it then click merge..the merge group..and voila..you have a mask layer now! :)  Just copy and paste it to the tag; increase the size by 30% and center on the tag, on the very back layer.

***(NOTE: there is a layers menu on the right side of your screen..if u do not see it then look up top and click VIEW>PALETTES>LAYERS and it will open up...u use this layer to bring things to the front..say for example u put a shoe on the tag but it went behind a bucket and u want it in front of the bucket...while holding the left click button on your mouse or touch pad down, you would slide the shoe to the layer the bucket is on..it would now be in the front...use this anytime u want to bring something to the forefront.)***

Now, let's add some other items to start adding depth and dimension to our tag! The first thing we want to do, is place papers on parts of our template. The following is where your papers should be. Paper # 1 on rasters 4 & 6, paper # 2 on raster s 2 & 5, paper #4 on raster 7, paper # 3 on raster 3, and paper #6 on rasters  8 & 9. The next thing we want to do is to add our tube images. Find and open the full view tube image; reduce it by 65% and place it on the center of the tag. Now reduce by 85% and place the face section in the square to the left of the tube...flip it horizontally...duplicate it and flip it horizontally...decrease size by 10% more and place on the right small square....duplicate again and place in the circle on the bottom right. Make the 2 squares vignette, and the bottom circle black and white.

Next, find the  El #7 spiderwebs and increase by 20% and center on tag; should be on raster 38 behind the small squares. Next, find and open the El# 40 the bed and reduce it by 45% and place on the bottom left...flip it horizontally...you want it in front of everything but the full tube. Next, find and open the El # 52 the small white lightning and reduce by 75% and place in the top left corner making sure it is in front of the black circle...duplicate and flip it horizontally and place in the top right corner. Next, find and open the El # 12 the wheel and reduce it by 45% and place it on the top left side of the tag, in front of the black and red circles, but behind the small squares.

Next, find and open the El # 30 the silver skull wheel and increase it by 30%, place it on the bottom right, behind the pic but in front of the circle..hide the silver glitter outline...place it so the pic is centered on the wheel. Next, find and open the El # 22 the bunch of candles, and reduce it by 95% and place it on the bottom left right above the word art. Next, find and open the El# 20 books and reduce them by 90% and place on the back of the bed by the pillows. Next, find and open the El # 3 the cat and reduce it by 95% and place it on the left of the tube's legs, flip it horizontally. Next, find and open El # 29 the chalice and reduce it by 90% and place on the bottom right of the tag, on the right side of the skull frame. Next, find and open El # 23 the red poison bottle and reduce it by 95%...place it on the right bottom, to the left of the chalice.

Next, find and open the El # 61 the red cross and reduce it by 90% and place it on the top left, on the wheel and to the left of the tube. Next, find and open the El # 30 the skull cross and reduce it by 90% and place it on the top right, to the right of the tube. Next, find and open the El #5 the spider and reduce it by 85% and place it across the bottom part of the right pic square. Next, find and open the El # 51 the pink lightning and leaving the size as is, place it in the top left corner, making sure it is in front of the circle and wheel...duplicate and flip it horizontally and place on the top right corner..again in the forefront. Next, find and open El# 49 the tree and place it in the top right corner, making sure it is behind the lightning...duplicate it and flip it horizontally and place on the top left. Lastly, open El # 28 the skull and reduce it by 90% and place on the bottom left...left side of the skull frame...flip it horizontally, and make sure it is in the forefront.

Lastly, add 3D drop shadows wherever you would like them to be.  Make sure at this point that you add the copyright information (VERY IMPORTANT)!!

You did it! You now have finished this tag. Finally, add a name in any font and color of your choosing. I hope you enjoyed this tutorial. If you did, please follow my blog and pass it along to others. If you make a tag using this tutorial, please send it to meat robynebutts@gmail.com, so I can place it on my blog.

Hugs and blessings,
Robyne
